COVID-19 POLICIES & PROCEDURES

WE’RE IMPLEMENTING THE FOLLOWING PROTOCOLS DEVELOPED IN CONSULTATION WITH EXPERT PUBLIC HEALTH

We encourage you to confirm current protocols prior to your event; all policies, including ticketing and attendance, are subject to change based on evolving guidance from the City of Chicago, Illinois Department of Public Health, and the CDC. As this guidance is rapidly evolving, so may our protocols. Full refunds will be made available to any parties wishing to cancel their tickets for any reason.

Core to Collaboraction’s mission is producing theatre by, in, and for communities that have not been equitably represented in the vaunted Chicago theatre community. In order to do that during this pandemic, we must acknowledge that only approximately 32% of the Englewood community (zip code 60621) and 37% of the Austin community (zip code 60644) have been fully vaccinated as of 9.9.21 (https://www.dph.illinois.gov/covid19/vaccination-zip-code) and thus we are allowing a negative Covid PCR test within 72 hours of performance time (6 hours if rapid antigen test) in order to not limit access to the majority of these communities based on vaccination hesitancy.

VACCINATION STATUS

“Fully vaccinated” means that the performance date must be at least 14 days after receiving the second dose of a two-dose COVID-19 vaccine, or at least 14 days after a single-dose vaccine. Proof of vaccination or must be displayed either on a smartphone or with a physical copy of the vaccination card and presented at time of entry into the theater. With the proof of vaccination, all guests 18 years or older must also present a photo ID. Guests younger than 18 may use a government-issued photo ID or school photo ID. Guests under 12 must be accompanied by an adult who meets the above requirements.

For your safety, as well as our artists and staff, we will not admit any guests who do not provide the documentation as required above.

FACE MASKS & COVERINGS

Regardless of vaccine status, patrons must wear face masks or covering that cover the mouth and nose. A disposable face mask will be given to patrons who do not have one. The protocols outlined in this plan allow us to operate at total audience capacity safely. However, we will run at 75% capacity and require an empty seat between parties as an additional precaution.

EXCHANGE POLICY

Patrons who are not feeling well, are exhibiting any COVID-19 symptoms, or have had or been exposed to COVID-19 in the past 14 days should not come to a Collaboraction performance or event. However, if you cannot attend a performance, you are encouraged to contact us to discuss flexible exchange and refund options.

HVAC

Collaboraction produces work in spaces with large industrial HVAC systems that comply with current best practices during the COVID era.

SANITIZATION AND SURFACES

In addition to enhanced cleaning procedures before every performance, hand sanitizer stations will be available.

RISK ASSUMPTION

Those attending a Collaboraction performance or event assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.
