When a racist Snapchat makes its way around a high school its students are left to grapple with their own history, biases and privilege in order to maintain their relationships. Based on a true story, Lift Every Voice speaks to critical social issues and the complexities of the current cultural climate in the United States.

Lift Every Voice premiered at Collaboraction's Encounter Series in January 2020 and received audience acclaim. As the Covid-19 pandemic and Black Lives Matter Global Movement manifested, we realized that this powerful piece is a critical virtual tool to cultivate dialogue and active anti-racism, which is needed now more than ever. Collaboraction will broadcast this unique work on their Together Network and offer it as a teaching asset to high school teachers and students throughout the country.

The production will be shot with Collaboraction's 6 point pandemic safety protocols and the artists and staff will all be paid equitably to produce the work.

Lift Every Voice is based on a true story and is written by G. Riley Mills and Willie Round and directed by Rory Jobst.

Performances are October 23 and 24 at 7 pm and October 25 at 3 pm for FREE via ZOOM.

A Crucial Conversation will follow all screenings of this special performance.
